ELEVEN PLUS is an ongoing project photographing 9 girls between the ages of 11 and 14.

For 3 years, in 6 month increments the girls have agreed to be photographed as they emerge from childhood into adolescence.

For every generation the inevitable physical changes that occur at this age are the same.

But in this era of shifting roles and expectations how do their options differ from previous generations? What choices are open to them as they start to construct a sense of identity.

What, if any changes have occurred in the last 30 or so years since their mothers were growing up?
