Beyond Rescue
Amsterdam’s canals are littered with abandoned boats. Every so often excited new owners come along, a father and son who have decided to take on a project and renovate a boat together.
Sometimes a boat that was once visible will have almost disappeared, sinking under the surface, beyond rescue and out of reach.
Ever the optimist these boats speak to me of hope and intention, even now in their various stages of neglect, they remind me of our endless ability to dream up future possibilities.
